Consider signing these petitions to help protect our lake and communities:
 
Prohibit the Land Application of Sludge in Vermont
Make it clear to the Governor of Vermont, Agency of Natural Resources Secretary, and Vermont Commissioners of the Department of Environmental Conservation, Department of Health and Department of Fish and Wildlife that outdated sludge standards need to be updated with modern science before we consider the continuation of spreading sludge on land. Until then, we must ban land applying sludge to protect our public health and natural resources.
 
 
Maintaining A Healthy Lake Champlain Ecosystem
Make it clear to the Governor of Vermont, Agency of Natural Resources Secretary, and Vermont Commissioners of the Department of Environmental Conservation, Department of Health and Department of Fish and Wildlife that we support lamprey control to protect Lake Champlain, its tributaries, and native fish.
 
 
Restore Lake Champlain by Removing the Swanton Dam
Make it clear to the Swanton Village Trustees, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vermont Dam Removal Task Force, Governor of Vermont, Vermont Agency of Natural Resources Secretary, and Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife Commissioner that we support the removal of the Swanton Dam in the Mississquoi River which will restore native fish passage to vital spawning habitat above the dam.
 
 
Maintaining the Stream Gage Program in the Lake Champlain Basin
Make it clear to the Secretary of USGS that we support permanant funding for all stream gages to operate in the Lake Champlain basin.
 
 
 
 
 
Restore a Healthy Lake Champlain: Cormorant Control
Make it clear to Secretary Vilsack (USDA) and Dr. Parham (APHIS) that we support permanant funding for cormorant control in the Lake Champlain basin.
 
 
 
 
 
Restore a Healthy Lake Champlain: Disconnect the Champlain Canal
Make it clear to Governor Cuomo and the New York Delegation that we support disconnecting the Champlain Canal from Lake Champlain.
