In order to accelerate the recovery of Lake Champlain's historically premier fisheries, Lake Champlain International, Inc. has established the Champlain Fisheries Recovery Fund (The Fund). The Fund will be used to underwrite the monumental work before our partners, such as the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department and others, in restoring salmon, lake trout, muskellunge, American eel, lake sturgeon and walleye to their once former glory.

Check back with this site to learn of ongoing efforts and future efforts in the recovery process. We understand that generations of neglect or oversight cannot be fixed overnight, but with a clear plan, solid focus and the financial resources, our fisheries do not need to be just memories.
