Help LCI and Lions Net Food for Neighbors

Sportsmen and women have a long and proud history of stepping up to assist our neighbors experiencing difficult times. With your help, LCI and the Burlington Lions Club will be collecting food items for the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf to distribute to our neighbors in need around the Lake Champlain Basin in Vermont and New York.

Your donation will be accepted at all LCI Father's Day Derby Weigh Stations around the lake during the derby, June 19-21. Donations will also be accepted at the Awards Ceremony at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in South Burlington, VT on June 26th, as well as at Angler Day at the Ballpark on a date TBD at Centennial Field in Burlington before the Lake Monsters baseball game. Please consider bringing at least two items. If every LCI Angler and Angler Night attendee were to bring just two cans of beans, for example, we would collect over 20,000 cans or ten tons of food!

Items most in need are:

  • Cereal
  • Peanut butter
  • Baby food
  • Soup
  • Tuna
  • Canned fruit
  • Pork & beans
  • Canned vegetables
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Spaghetti
  • Macaroni
  • Dry pasta
  • Rice
  • Canned juices
  • Any canned meals
